TESTARE

TEST AREA FOR ECOLOGICAL TRANSITION NATIONAL RESEARCH PROJECT: University of Catania

ABSTRACT

The aim of the TESTARE project is to build an innovation infrastructure to speed up the validation and pre-industrialisation phases of scientific research results developed upstream.

TESTARE, therefore, is designed as a set of equipped spaces where full-scale prototypes can be validated, involving end users and under operational conditions. In order to achieve this aim, the project is structured into three Realisation Objectives (OR), the first two of which were started during the period covered by this report and are still in progress:

OR1: work management of the new building and recovery, redevelopment and re-functioning of the areas; scientific supervision of the setting up of the laboratories

OR2: Construction of the building works and arrangement/covering of the outdoor areas; setting up and deployment of the ancillary systems

OR3: equipping of the laboratories and outdoor areas for experimental activities; furnishing and   equipping of the office, training, workshop and canteen areas; setting up of the logistics operations centre 4. 0 and immersive training centre; purchase of know-how, hardware, licences and scientific and technical laboratory equipment
